Last Wednesday our school celebrated Santa Claus Day.
For this special occasion we prepared a few, little surprises which we hoped would make it special day for everyone. Year 0, 1, 2 and 3 began with an arts and crafts workshops, using their imagination and creativity to make some Christmas decorations in preparation for the arrival of a very special guest.
After studying the legend of Santa Claus, learning about the magic in Christmas and how Santa came to be, there was a sudden knock on the classroom door. It was Mrs. Santa, with a whole bag of games, songs and some treats for all children.
Pupils from year 4, 5, 6 and 7 started the day with the task of choosing some Christmas trees to decorate our school. Little did they know, there was another surprise trip awaiting them in the afternoon. as a reward for all their hard work and effort, they had the opportunity to let out their energy at Laser Tag. After an hour of running, hiding, shooting lasers and going it all out, in a boys vs girls, laser bonanza, they were pleased to return to our school and see some small gifts from Santa (board games and puzzles) left in their classroom. We can’t wait for Christmas.
How about you?
