Dear parents and students,
Here is the organization for Tuesday:
Phonics: Have a go at reading some words with the new digraph 'ue'. Then, complete unit 18 'ue' worksheet. Extra challenge: Can you think of your own words with the 'ue' sound?
English: Today we are going to create a poster about rainbows. Think of all the facts you learnt about rainbows. Don't forget to use the correct punctuation for your sentences. Using PCM 1.8.14 choose 3 or 4 facts about rainbows that go together. Then, cut out or rewrite the sentences onto a bigger piece of paper. Remember to include a heading such as 'Rainbow Facts'. Draw a rainbow at the end, You can label all the colours too.
Maths: Today we are going to learn how to multiply by 2,5 and 10 using arrays. Complete 'Introducing Multiplication Arrays' worksheet and page 34 of Y1 WB3. Extra challenge: Can you write your own number sentences to multiply by 2, 5 and 10?
I would also like to kindly remind all parents to send me completed work via email or Skype. This includes the work completed during individual lessons and independently as I still need a copy to keep a record. This will also be needed to form a baseline for when I write the end of year reports.
I will do an introduction for all activities at 9am.
Best regards,
Miss Aneta Kowalska
