Dear Parents,
please discuss the Skype Group Discussion Rules with your children.
They all know the rules we should obey during our on-line group discussion lessons very well. If necessary, I remind them to respect not only the rules, but each other as well, and our precious and priceless time we can spend together too.
Considering the current situation -very difficult for children who need social interaction, I allow them, from time to time send some funny emojis or chat a little. I know they do miss our school, their friends and teachers, too. Although, If I only notice that they focus more on 'chatting' than on our lesson, and that misbehaviour distracts them from the main goals of our meeting, I'll need to stop them. Especially if their emojis are inappropriate.
In conclusion - that's what we (P3) have decided together:
1. They can chat before we start our group discussion.
2. They can send emojis, like 'smile', 'thumb up' 'heart' or 'laugh' as a reaction to the problems/topics we are discussing.
3. They can chat a little if I need few seconds to log in the learning platforms and display my screen to them.
4. They can comment their projects using emojis mentioned above
5. They can chat after our lessons if you, dear Parents let them do it (and please do).
On Monday, each of them will have to write down the discussed rules in Year 3 Spring Term Workbook (pp.53), and then read it aloud to the class and me.
We will also discuss the article 'Can You Change The World?', as we haven't managed to do it this morning.
I do appreciate your support and help I get from you every day, I'm really lucky teacher having your children in my class. They are happy, clever, hard working, active, motivated and interested in all topics. They've done amazing progress!
Each day with them gives me lots of wonderful energy. They make me laugh and happy. I'm very proud of them!
I wish you all a wonderful weekend! We all deserve it!
