Dear parents and students,

Here is the organization for Wednesday:

Phonics: Have a go at reading some sentences with the new tricky word 'friend'. Then, write 3 sentences with the tricky word 'friend'. Extra challenge: Can you write a short story with the word 'friend'?

English: Retell the story 'Eco Apes Grow Food'. You can draw 11 boxes for each scene and write a little sentence underneath each box.

Maths: Cut out number cards 1-10 or 11-20 if you're feeling brave. Then, put those numbers facing down so that you cannot see what the numbers are. Then, choose 3 cards randomly and write an addition for those numbers. For example: 3+5+8=16. Think about the ways you are working them out. Use your number facts knowledge: number bonds, doubles, halves, counting on and back. Extra challenge: Complete P11 of Y1 WB3.

I will do an introduction for all activities during our group lesson at 9am.

Kind regards,
Miss Aneta Kowalska

English: Look at the front cover of the stimulus text 'Eco Apes Grow Food'. What do you think the book will be about? Write a sentence for your prediction. Then, read the book to see whether your prediction was correct. Extra challenge: What do you think Eco Apes should grow next?

Dear parents and students,

Here is the organization for Tuesday:

English: Using PCM 1.6.22 or PCM 1.6.23 (I will let you know which one you need to use).  Remember to only include few words in your labels. Now you can put your report together on a big piece of paper (A4/A3). Cut out your sentences including the headline from your completed report. Then, stick them on a nice piece of paper. Finally, stick a picture of your labelled panda.
Well done! You have now made your own report about pandas!

Maths: Using a hundred-square grid pick any 2-digit number and find out what is 1 more, 1 less, 10 more and 10 less. Record your answers in the following way:
1 more than_ is_
1 less than_ is_
10 more than_ is_
10 less than_ is_

Complete page 2 of Y1 Workbook 3.

Extra challenges in the plans.
