Students are also encouraged to participate in a wide range of extra curricular activities and school clubs to develop their interests and nurture productive use of free time.
  • To ensure a smooth transition from iPrimary to iLower Secondary.
  • To introduce students to a broader range of subjects based on those already introduced at Key Stage 2.
  • To prepare students for GCSE and IGCSE.
  • To accomplish set tasks at an ever increasing difficulty level with new challenges as new knowledge and skills are introduced.
  • To encourage the development of important learning skills such as the ability to research, analyse and interpret information in sources.
  • To continue improving skills in literacy, numeracy and science at a higher level.
  • To improve communication skills between students through group activities and projects.
  • To nurture cultural sensitivity, respect, tolerance and moral and ethical understanding for different cultural backgrounds in a International environment.
  • To encourage each pupil to learn actively and contribute to school community in making decisions and being an active participant in the school council.
  • To teach each student the value of a positive attitude and to care and protect the environment around us
All of the above targets are achieved through a rich programme of activities which we try to make as interesting and productive as possible to ensure each pupil achieves success to their full potential.

As an Academy we are proud of our extra curricular activities. We know that pupils between the age of 11 and 14 thrive when engaged in interesting hobbies such as sports, musical instrument lessons or technology clubs so we like to encourage pupils to take up hobbies and can almost always find a little extra something in which each individual can tweak their skills.
